Chemical resistance is outstanding and the temperature usefulness ranges from minus 170° C (-274 F) to plus 190° C (374 F). Coatings prepared from the resin are available. With time, undoubtedly a greater use of the solid plastic in either the natural or filled form will be found. Considerable strength with high modulus can be obtained by the addition of glass or other fillers to the material.
