The use of high and low density polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and polybutylene in the industrial area is extensive. These comprise the lowest cost polymers for piping, smaller structural shapes, containers, and a host of other applications which run the industrial usage of these materials to millions of pounds a year. Of the polyolefin products, the low and high density polyethylene and polypropylene constitute the vast majority of uses with the low density product being predominant.
