Ionomers

The ionomer resin will be encountered occasionally in industrial applications, primarily as a coating. However, it is possible to mold these resins into parts for use in specific industrial applications. The toughness and atmospheric stability of the ionomer is outstanding, but attack by a wide range of chemicals is to be expected. Organic chemicals are particularly aggressive. The material is useful up to a temperature of approximately 70 °C (158 F).
