ECTFE Ethylene-Chlorotrifluoroethylene

This fluorocarbon has heat stability of 175 °C (347 F). Sufficient data have not been generated to date to determine precisely where they will fit into field service. Certainly the material is reputed to have excellent properties as regards chemical stability, and above all, a working ease which should extend the use of the fluorocarbons even further than their current application in industry. Much is expected of this product, and they should be watched closely by all persons concerned with the use of the ultimate thermoplastic in chemical services.
