Assembly Fixtures

This assembly fixture is made with HDPE through a combination of interlocking vertical pieces and welding from the underside through slots in the bottom plate.  This fixture is used by filling the diagonal cavities with small tiles in a specific design pattern.  After placing the tiles in the fixture, a piece if coarse plasticized fabric coated with an adhesive on one side is adhered to the tiles.The assembled segment is then flipped over and emptied from the fixture.  The reason this fixture was made with HDPE was for cleanup purposes, as adhesive accumulation had to be removed with solvent.

Testing Equipment Shields

The sides of this apparatus are shield with polycarbonate, or PC which is highly impact resistant.  Notice how the shields are an integral part of the design, adding lateral stabilization... a very simple form and function resolution.











Manufacturing Testing Equipment

This testing equipment is fabricated with clear PVC and designed for testing sprinkler heads. The sprinkler head is attached to an interior fixture through a rising door which has pressure sensitive latches, holding it open.  Water pressure is turned on which actuates the sprinkler head with actual working water pressure.  The cover could also tilted back easily with counter balanced hinges.  The bottom blue portion was manufactured with PP for it's good impact resistance and easy cleanup.




Mining Applications

These components are used in mining applications with flow tanks.  Both units are made with PP and are triple-welded for strength in this brutal environment.

Production Fixtures

This assembly fixture is fabricated with polycarbonate. It is solvent bonded and mechanically fastened to ensure a solid working fixture.  This fixture was used to assemble locksets prior to the quality control and packaging stages of production.  Adding hardware to most plastic assemblies requires threaded inserts for the screw because plastics do not hold thread well.



Replacement Components

This is ink tray from a printing press that was no longer available from the press manufacturer.  In order to resist the inks used on the machine CPVC was used on this project.  This reservoir was duplicated in every way possible to the original, but broken sample.

Machine Guards

We've made hundreds of machine guards through the years.  This one is made with PC and the addition of aluminum corner supports.  The design was integral to the packaging  system this company employed.  The white PVC pipes were weighted with lead shot and positioned to close the lid of boxes that varied in height.
